Payment Methods Accepted:
- Cheques or bank draft to be made payable to the relevant student village:
- Please make sure that all the above methods of payment are made out to the correct student complex.
- Hartstonge gate, Alphonsus Court and Ashdown Student Village can all be made out to their respective names
- ** Exception being Clontarf Hall - please make all cheques, bank draft etc out to PMI or Property Management Ireland
- Cash can only be accepted in person.
- Laser, Mastercard, Visa, American Express.
Payment Due Dates:
- 1st term fees incl.deposit, esb and utilities - August 26th 2011.
- 2nd term fees - January 28th 2012.
* Booking/Security Deposit: A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the deposit. A place will not be held without a deposit.
Any preferences cannot be gauranteed and PMI work on a first come first serve basis. The Booking deposit becomes the security deposit once the room is occupied and it will be returned at the end of the year after inspections are carried out on all aparments. Students will be charged for any damage, missing inventory and any excessive wear and tear caused to the apartment.
We aim to have all refunds sent out by the end of July.
* Cancellation before moving in:
1st Year Booking deposits: If you decide to cancel your place, we must be notified in writing no later than 3 days after the first round offer. You will receive back €150 of the deposit. After the 3 days the full deposit will be forfeited.
For all other years: Cancellation once the deposit has been paid will result in the full deposit being forfeited.
* Cancellation during the academic year: Applications are accepted for the entire occupancy period Monday 1st September to Thursday 31st May 2012 only. Any student who accepts a room in our accommodation and for whatever reason subsequently cancels/vacates their room will not be refunded their deposit or utility payment. 4 weeks written notice must be given to PMI. The balance of their rent and ESB will be refunded as soon as the room is re-let to another student. We will try our best to find suitable replacement, but if the room remains empty the tenant is liable for the rent until the end of the term.
*** Utilities Charge - €300: The Utilities charge is non refundable. This is a contribution to the following: cable TV and TV License, telephone line rental, refuse collection, refuse sacks, light bulbs.
** ESB Deposit: A metre reading is taken when the students move in and out. If the ESB usage for the year is less than €300 you will receive back the balance, if the usage is greater than €300 the excess will be taken from your security deposit.
Please note - you can received calls on the telephone, to make a call a call-card is required which can be purchased locally.

SUMMER RENTALS
Ashdown Student Village is a no frills, basic and clean accommodation in an unbeatable location. Open 7th June - 23rd August 2011. The apartments consist of Kitchen/ Sitting room, main bathroom, 3 single rooms and a twin room with Ensuite bathroom and Shower. All apartments cost €450 per week.
It is the perfect affordable self-catering holiday complex which has more than 260 beds ranging from standard single rooms to Twin ensuite, so we can accommodate everyone from individual travellers to large student or tour groups. Each self-catering apartments come equipped with all you could possibly require. Internet is also available in the apartments in all rooms!
At Ashdown Student Village you get the best of both worlds, nestled next to the Shannon River guests can enjoy the picturesque surroundings and is located minutes from all amenities and the city centre, it is the perfect location for a fun filled or relaxing holiday!
